The Melanated Deaf Visual Arts Project (MDVAP) is a cultural initiative that centers and amplifies the work of Black, Brown, and Indigenous Deaf artists through exhibitions, storytelling, and community programming.
MDVAP exists at the intersection of art, identity, and accessibility—creating spaces where Deaf artists of color are not only visible, but fully supported and celebrated.

Melanated Deaf artists are often underrepresented across both the arts and Deaf communities. Many face barriers to visibility, access, and opportunity.
